About me

Davide Brancato hails from Delémont in the Swiss Jura, and was apprenticed as a chef from the age of 15 to 18. He then moved to Paris to train at the Cours Florent. In 2016, he passed the Manufacture competition and entered the J class. He has worked under the direction of Luk Perceval, Kristian Lupa, Oscar Gomez Mata, Ursula Meyer, Frédéric Fonteyne, Lionel Baier, Alexandre Doublet and Natacha Koutchoumov. In September 2019, he will perform in the revival of NOS PARENTS directed by Pascal Rambert as part of the Bâtie festival alongside his graduating class at the Comédie de Genève. He is also performing in EVENTFULLY TENDER by Natasza Gerlach as part of OUT6, a show being revived as part of the Emergentia festival in Geneva organised by ADC Genève, L'Abri and TU - Théâtre de l'Usine. In 2021, he will once again be working under the direction of Pascal Rambert for a new creation at the Comédie de Genève entitled STARs. This year, he will be devoting his time to developing new stage projects. In 2023, he will also be performing in a show entitled La Félicità, directed by Pablo Jakob at the Théâtre du Jura, and assisting Pascal Rambet with his new creation entitled Mon Absente. He will also be appearing at the Théâtre de Vidy in a show entitled "Les Lasagne della Nonna", directed by Massimo Furlan and Claire de Ribaupierre. In 2025, he will also appear in Jean Stéphane Bron's series "The Deal". Davide is artistic director of the Geneva-based company Homologue, with whom he develops his projects. These include a new show entitled "Pauvres Garçons". This solo show will be presented for the first time at the Théâtre Saint-Gervais in Geneva. Davide is also resident artist at l'Abri - a residency that supports young artists in all disciplines.
