Davide Niccolini

I started getting in contact with acting at a very young age. When I was a kid I used to create my own performances in my living room and I loved to be watched by my parents. Growing up I praticed free wrestling, I took some dance classes but in the end I went back to the acting. I hated sports, but having done it competitively for so many years gave me a view of this profession beyond of passion and instinct. I see acting as a plant to be cultivated, as a craft to be constantly trained. I enjoy physical theater, dance theater, teaching stage combact and trying to apply physical research to the characters I have to play. I graduated at the Scuola del Teatro Stabile in Genoa, after attending a few months at Centro Sperimentale in Rome. In Genoa I collaborated as an actor in shows directed by Elisabetta Pozzi and Davide Livermore. When I finished school I tried to figure out what I wanted to say as an actor, and I thought of the extraordinary story of my father's life: the monologue is in the finals of the Premio Scenario Periferie 2025. I have been teaching for two years in little projects based on social and political themes, such as the Marassi prison in Genoa, The Environmental Theater for Legambiente, and projects to raise awareness about gender violence.
