Federico Mancini

Federico Mancini was born in Rome on the 16th of May 1976. His astrological sign is Taurus and, just to make things worse, also his ascendant is Taurus. There are no more stubborn people than him. He was born on a Sunday, and in Italy we say that it’s a lucky day to be born. He started to study acting since he was very young: he began by chance in a small school in his neighbourhood and immediately understood that that was what he wanted to do for life.

For years he was a regular actor at a small theatre, performing in every shows of the seasons and went on studying acting without interruption with Beatrice Bracco, Margherita Adorisio, Maurizio Faraoni, Vincenzo Zingaro, Cathy Marchand and Aurin Proietti.

In order to work as an actor, he has also worked as a waiter, as a call center operator, he has made hot dogs on a street cart, he has worked with dinosaurs and for a journalistic magazine. He has also read tarot for a living... is he allowed to say that?

When he was 20, he worked in his first film Wasteland, by Fabio Segatori, playing the role of Totò, the stupid son of a mafia boss played by Giancarlo Giannini.

Then, for almost 10 years he was part of one of the companies of Teatro Eliseo of Rome and toured all over Italy, from September to June, performing texts by Luigi Pirandello and William Shakespeare with Leo Gullotta. He then worked at the Globe Theater in Rome staging The Comedy of Errors by W. Shakespeare. After that, he reconnects with the world of cinema and TV. He plays as Paolino in some Barilla commercials; he has the honor of acting in The way of the wind directed by Terence Malik, he is a bragging stretcher bearer in La linea Verticale by Mattia Torre, a Franciscan friar in the short film La scintilla: the Postwoman in Nuovo Olimpo by Ferzan Ozpetek and a policeman who talks about the lockdown in Muori di lei by Stefano Sardo. He love dogs: he has three beautiful Jack Russells, Boris, Uma and Sasha.
