Hana Vagnerová is a Czech film, television, and theatre actress. A graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU), she began her career on stage, performing in a wide range of productions including work at the National Theatre
Her breakthrough came with the acclaimed true-crime series "Expozitura," at the time the most ambitious project produced by TV Nova, later optioned for a U.S. remake. The role brought her wider recognition, and she became one of the most in-demand actresses in Czech film and television
In recent years, Hana has expanded her career internationally. She is represented in the United States-where she holds an O-1 visa-and in Italy, dividing her work between European and American markets
She is also a screenwriter. Her feature film "Borders of Love," which she wrote and stars in, premiered in the Main Competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and received the FIPRESCI Award from the international critics’ jury. Her performance earned her a Best Actress award at a Polish festival
Her recent projects include the all-female remake of Thomas Vinterberg’s "Another Round," where she takes on the role originally played by Mads Mikkelsen, and the film "Murders Between Friends," acting alongside Joan Collins
