About me

Helena Barbagelata, is a fashion model, multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, actress, writer and activist. Her contributions to the arts have been recognized with numerous awards from prestigious institutions, including the Onassis Foundation, The Greek Ministry of Culture, and the Italian National Committee for UNESCO and the University of Barcelona.

As a member of the America Israel Cultural Foundation, Israeli Artist Network (AICF-IAN), the Society of Jewish Artists (SoJa) and the Organization for the Democratization of the Visual Arts (OBDK), Barbagelata engages deeply with the global art community. Her artistic practice is characterized by an eclectic blend of mixed media, sculpting, painting, video, sound art, and printmaking techniques, resulting in works that challenge viewers to reflect on pressing social, political, cultural, and environmental issues.

Helena Barbagelata has exhibited her work extensively, showcasing her pieces in numerous solo and collective exhibitions across Europe, Israel, Russia, South America, Australia, and the United States.
