Pietro Passatore

Born in Turin, but raised mainly between New York and London, and always surrounded by people of all different races, ethnicities and religions, Piero Ali Passatore has always felt more like a citizen of the world, more than a citizen of any particular country. He studied film and theater at the prestigious Hofstra University of New York; then attended Brooklyn College, where he studied under the well-known film director and screenwriter Robert Tutak; finally, he entered Hunter College and City College, where he was a student of the famous theater director Alfred Preisser, who took him on as an assistant director after Piero finished his theater directing course. He culminated his academic career with a double major in Film Studies/Production and Theater with a concentration on Acting in December 2004 from the City University of New York Baccalaureate Program and only three days after taking his final college exam, his father, Giuseppe Passatore, died of a sudden heart attack at only 54 years old. Piero decided to put his family before his dream career in New York and returned to Italy. As soon as he returned, he enrolled in a masters program in American Studies, continuing with his studies on American cinema, culture and literature. 
 
As an actor in 2007 he played the lead in Ted Nicolau's ‘The Etruscan Mask’. In 2015 he landed a lead role in Federico Alotto's ‘The Spirit Chaser’. In 2020 he had a leading role in the 4 hour television series ‘Defectum’. His resume boasts appearances in films such as Dario Argento's ‘Dracula 3D’, Lorenzo Vignolo's ‘Workers’, Ficarra and Picone's ‘Anche Se è Amore Non Si Vede’, Ulysse, A Dark Odyssey, and small speaking roles in various RAI TV series and films including Rocco Schiavone, Non Uccidere, Cuori, and Le Ragazze Dello Swing.
