About me

Zuzana Castkova is a Czech actress based in Prague who has worked on stage and screen. Zuzana made her screen debut in Daria Kashcheeva´s short film Electra, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Film in 2023. Zuzana shaved her hair for this role and won the Award for The Best Actress at Sapporo International Film Festival in Japan.
Zuzana worked on the stage, excelling in roles such as Theresa Bayer in Gerta or Helena in A Midsummer Night´s Dream. She brings humor to dramatic roles and situations.
In the film Where the Love ends she plays lover/caretaker who sacrifice her own needs before others because she loves too much and have to go through transformational journey and fight for herself and her child. In Electra she displays orphan and wounded lover who can be very manipulative and use her wounds to destroy people around or herself as well as see the world in child perspective and act from the heart.
She speaks Czech, English and German. She holds an EU passport.
